ANDREW W.K. Teams Up With THE ARIZONA SUNDOGS

November 7, 2006

According to OurSportsCentral.com, Andrew W.K. has teamed up with The Arizona Sundogs to write and produce a song to identify the Sundogs and their inaugural season in the Central Hockey League. The song, titled "Sundogs", is a rewrite based on the previously recorded song, "Fun Night".

Andrew W.K. grew up playing classical piano before expanding his musical talents to include drums, keyboards and vocals. His first solo album, "I Get Wet", released in 2001 on Island Records catapulted him into the national limelight. "I Get Wet" soon rose to the #1 position on Billboard's Heatseekers list. Its sound garnered a good deal of attention, earning Andrew W.K. a spot on Ozzy Osbourne's Ozzfest that summer, along with acts such as DOWN, BLACK SABBATH, and SYSTEM OF A DOWN. In 2002, Andrew re-recorded his old song "We Want Fun" for the soundtrack of "Jackass: The Movie" which was also made into the lead music video, filmed and directed by Spike Jonze.
